Pallet live racking, also known as pallet flow or gravity flow racking, is a high-density, gravity-fed storage system designed for first-in, first-out (FIFO) stock rotation. What is Pallet Live Racking (FIFO)
With first-in, first-out pallet live racking, the loading points for the pallets is at the back of the aisle, the replenishment side, which then roll down specially designed lanes towards the picking face (unloading side). As the front pallet is picked, the remaining stock behind it pushes down the inclined roller tracks towards the front of the lane. Built-in roller brakes control the speed and load separators hold pallets in place during picking.
Pallet live storage helps you to control stock rotation by ensuring the stock loaded first is the first to be picked. The open nature of the lanes ensure you have a clear view of available stock to help you control level.
Due to the compact nature of pallet flow racking, it enables you to increase storage density within your warehouse.
